4 Ways to Honor Wes for Free

Want to spend some time this weekend honor the memory of the late great King of Nightmares but don’t have a video store nearby or access to Netflix (which features several Craven classics and some great docs about horror that feature him)? If you dig on podcasts, you can check out our Wes Craven tribute, but once you finish that, here are 4 free flicks on YouTube that are well worth your time!

1. The American Nightmare (2000)

Great horror doc that features tons of modern American icons. Lots of discussion on Wes and his influence.

2. Still Screaming: The Ultimate Scary Movie Retrospective (2011)

A fun look at the entire Scream series.

3. Deadly Blessing (1981)

A lesser heralded Craven film. One of Sharon Stone’s early roles.

4. Vampire in Brooklyn (1995)

Ultimately, I kinda hated this movie the couple times I saw it. But it’s free so I believe it’s time to revisit.

Justin has been running websites since his first Geocities site in 1994, but only did he ever start covering anything of substance years later. After he stopped regularly running local concerts in Northern NJ and the greater Philly area, he knew he needed to step up his writing game if he expected to continue to get free music to listen to. He writes regularly here and at Cinapse, as well as contributing to a few other sites on occasion. He likes music, film, the Philadelphia Eagles, the 76ers, talking about Criminal Justice, reading Intelligence Report, and his family... not in that order. His beautiful wife is far more talented than he is and his kids far more adorable... and crazy.
