New Music Monday: Steve and Dan

Steve Taylor and the Danielson Foil

Last week, alternative Christian music godfather Steve Taylor released his kickstarted and highly anticipated collaboration with wacky, talented, and one-of-a-kind Daniel Smith of Danielson via the best alternative music blog on the web, Alex Young’s Consequence of Sound. Chances are if you aren’t a diehard of Danielson or Taylor, this is news to you.

Lucky for you, on Friday the album dropped worldwide, so if you enjoy the stream on CoS you can grab it on any format you like via Amazon or your favorite retailer.

There’s a fresh punk rock vibe to the album that was far different than what I expected. It’s one of the best new releases I’ve heard in some time…. but don’t take my word for it.

Rocks like: Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, The Thermals, and The Hold Steady

Justin has been running websites since his first Geocities site in 1994, but only did he ever start covering anything of substance years later. After he stopped regularly running local concerts in Northern NJ and the greater Philly area, he knew he needed to step up his writing game if he expected to continue to get free music to listen to. He writes regularly here and at Cinapse, as well as contributing to a few other sites on occasion. He likes music, film, the Philadelphia Eagles, the 76ers, talking about Criminal Justice, reading Intelligence Report, and his family... not in that order. His beautiful wife is far more talented than he is and his kids far more adorable... and crazy.
