I Just Came for the Peeps, Part 2
This week my Peeps quest brings me back to Walmart for the three mystery flavors exclusive to the store this year. Upon close examination, all three flavors look exactly the same: traditional Peep shape with white sugar and white marshmallow centers. The looks certainly aren’t giving any hints as to what flavors are within the sugary chicks. Let’s dig in…
Mystery Flavor #1: Packaging opened, first thing I noticed is nothing really. What I mean by that is nothing seems different. They smell just like normal peeps. Taste wise, mystery flavor one seems just a tad sweeter than original Peeps. Really nothing special.

Mystery Flavor #2: Definitely the oddest of the three flavors, it took me quite awhile to pinpoint what I was tasting. At first, I thought these were maple or maple and brown sugar, but then like The Ghost of Christmas Past… I REMEMBERED! That taste was so familiar, but I just couldn’t place it. Mystery Flavor number two tastes exactly like buttered popcorn flavored Jelly Belly jelly beans.

Mystery Flavor #3: These smell like a cherry cordial. The second you open the package, a wave of cherry hits you in the face. It only took me one nibble to figure out the mystery flavor which was a punch of cherry and lime to my tongue.
