A Brief Remembrance of a Fallen Rockstar: Mike Remembers Chris Cornell

I won’t pretend to be a huge Soundgarden/Audioslave/Temple of the Dog fan, but I do know an amazing vocalist and performer when I hear one, and that is what Chris Cornell was. His voice transcended generations and as I got older I found myself more drawn to his style and prose. I often would turn to his Songbook live acoustic album for my studying sessions or when I needed to just relax after a long day. He was a musical talent that will sorely be missed.

Here is one of the best live acoustic renditions he has ever done.

A proud father, music lover, NJ Devils fanatic, and critical care doctor for babies, Mike met Justin when he was only 13 years old and was introduced to a whole new world of punk and ska music in the local Jersey scene. He is New Jersey born and raised, jamming on the guitar spending the most of his young days. He still loves playing guitar but enjoys introducing his world of music and other interests to his 1 year old daughter.
