All We Want for Christmas is… SEX WITH THE DEVIL

Back in October, we debuted a track from the new Karabas Barabas album. That album, Sex with the Devil, is out tomorrow! You can order it on iTunes tonight and get it at midnight. You don’t have to buy it, I guess; but, being that Satan has commanded you to do so, should you risk it? I wouldn’t.

Featuring the tribute to the late great John Dunsworth (“Lahey”), the track we premiered here (“50/50”), and 8 other incredible tracks.

Two of the other tracks from the album premiered in October, along with “50/50”. One is “That 70’s Song” and the other is the explicitly and aptly named “Fuckarana”. These tracks, along with the aforementioned, represent a good taste of what the album is about.

As much as these songs are all fantastic, the standout tracks for me at “You Can’t Do That” and the closing track, “Jacques Lemaire” – with the latter being named after a legendary hockey player and boasting some of the most interesting songwriting on the album. While this review has highlighted 6 of the 10 songs already, it’s fair to call the album strong from start to finish – something the band had already proven the ability to do on their debut, as well as with their kindie project, Rolie Polie Guacamole.

So this holiday season, why not spend a little sexy time… with… the Devil?

Justin has been running websites since his first Geocities site in 1994, but only did he ever start covering anything of substance years later. After he stopped regularly running local concerts in Northern NJ and the greater Philly area, he knew he needed to step up his writing game if he expected to continue to get free music to listen to. He writes regularly here and at Cinapse, as well as contributing to a few other sites on occasion. He likes music, film, the Philadelphia Eagles, the 76ers, talking about Criminal Justice, reading Intelligence Report, and his family... not in that order. His beautiful wife is far more talented than he is and his kids far more adorable... and crazy.
