NMM SoundBytes: Alien Country’s “Remedy (Remix)”

We start our monthly festival of horror and Halloween this week, but that doesn’t mean we can honor our great films and great music in October too. This week’s New Music Monday SoundByte isn’t horror related per se. But Alien Country is obsessed with science fiction and blends in the sounds and themes of the great unknown into their tunes. In July, they released their latest album and it features two versions of the song “Remedy”. The extremely sci-fi inspired remix is today’s track for all y’all to check out.

Tampa’s Alien Country is a weirdo Liam Marcus Torres solo project that is hard not to enjoy. Even those averse to much country music, like myself, will find a lot about Liam’s music to enjoy. It’s quirky, different, and a ton of fun. This upbeat jam is as science fiction sounding as anything Rush ever released, but with that country twang.
