Brazilian Horror Comedy THE CANNIBAL CLUB Serves Up Some Real Gore

Uncork’d Entertainment presents a new gory horror comedy from Brazil called The Cannibal Club and trust me when I say that it’s compact running time of 83 minutes packs a ton of jokes, nudity, and blood for the gore hounds out there. The film itself plays like a comedy of manners with the social humor flying at every direction. In fact, no group is safe from being poked fun at.

The main plot deals with elite couple – Otavio and his very bored wife Gilda. Their home life is shaken up by Glida’s discovery of the club’s leader and powerful congressman Borges’s secret while on a walk. The length they both go to preserve their way of life and stay alive. The last act was a great payoff with everyone getting what they deserve and for me, it bought the house down in spades. The nudity was in somewhat good taste (one opening joke was a bit much to me but worth a laugh). I’m really don’t want to spoil any more of the surprises that await you in The Cannibal Club so check it out when you can.
