Talking THE EXORCISM OF GOD with Writer/Director Alejandro Hidalgo

Fans of our old flagship podcast are in for a real treat, as I don my old Grindhouse Messiah cap (well, not literally, as I am actually wearing my Sixers hat in this video interview) to dig into the world of religious horror with great genre filmmaker Alejandro Hildago. As I pry into his upbringing, the inspirations behind his latest film, and the themes of faith, fear, and shame in the film, Alejandro provides a ton of great insight into what makes him tick and what his latest project is all about.

In this unedited interview, you get to hear exactly what Alejandro and I think about religion, faith, and real world demons in this great chat. Fans of audio format will get a treat later this week, as this interview will also appear on The Farsighted Network feed as a Grindhouse Messiah bonus.

If you want more discourse on faith, film, and the intersections of the two, this is a great one for you. If you really just wanna talk bloody good horror, this one is also for you. And, if you just like hearing interesting people talk, you can tune me out and enjoy Alejandro in this fantastic little chat.

Justin has been running websites since his first Geocities site in 1994, but only did he ever start covering anything of substance years later. After he stopped regularly running local concerts in Northern NJ and the greater Philly area, he knew he needed to step up his writing game if he expected to continue to get free music to listen to. He writes regularly here and at Cinapse, as well as contributing to a few other sites on occasion. He likes music, film, the Philadelphia Eagles, the 76ers, talking about Criminal Justice, reading Intelligence Report, and his family... not in that order. His beautiful wife is far more talented than he is and his kids far more adorable... and crazy.
