That Movie Man Reviews
Movie reviews that will help you make very important life decisions because, let’s face it, movie ticket prices are getting ridiculous.

Deadpool (2016) This is the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life. I was so excited to see this movie with the awesome marketing campaign and the great trailers it was set up to be a great movie and it turns out it was better. Deadpool is one of my personal favourites in a long time. Of course there are movies like the Revenant that are really great and are given great grades but there are sometimes those movies that are just perfect. I think there was only one scene in this movie that I didn't laugh and that was because the movie didn't want me too but the rest of the scenes were just hilarious. Ryan Reynolds kills it as Deadpool and I'm so glad that this movie finally got released because after the atrocity of Origins Wolverine we needed to see Deadpool to get resurrected and it definitely worked. Morena Baccarin was great as the love interest because they didn't try to make their relationship but rather really funny and their chemistry is great. T.J. Miller is also great as Deadpool's best friend as they banter like mates would and he has some really memorable lines. Even the villain played by Ed Skrein was good as he was quite serious but was still funny when he had back and forth banter with the likes of Deadpool and definitely one of the better Marvel Villains. The action was filmed beautifully as you can see every scene crystal clear with no shakey cam to be seen which is a sigh of relief and a lot of blood which definitely makes it worth the while of an R rating along with the language. And I thought this movie couldn't get any better but it did when Deadpool decides that he wants to break the fourth wall and talk to the audience and this leads to some of the funniest moments in the movie. He also talks about the studio and Hugh Jackman which was great to see. Overall, this is definitely the best origins movie for a superhero and I can't wait to see the sequel.
