The Brooklyn Horror Film Festival was a few weeks ago, and I had the pleasure of reviewing this short film for the site. This is probably one of the best horror shorts that I have ever had the pleasure of viewing.
The premise of The Man Who Caught a Mermaid surrounds a man with a mermaid obsession, and his hunt for a mermaid. The other local fisherman mock him, and his wife resents his absenteeism. Then one day he brings one home…
The pacing was excellent leading up to the big twist. It was a delightfully twisted little gem with a nice ending. I would recommend it to anyone who loves horror.
Special thanks to Kaila Heir for access to the film and the festival, she is truly one of the best PR reps out there!
