Cheer Up, Emo Kid! A Brief Take on THE LIFE OF EMO

As soon as this adventure of a mixtape began I suddenly remembered how much I like some of the songs like “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” and “Gives You Hell”. The Life of Emo is a great “modernization” of older and newer pop punk, perfect for everyone. There’s a reason it’s already becoming popular with fans of electro and pop punk, because it’s kickass in the way they combines multiple genres. It doesn’t matter if you used to be a fan of pop punk or if you still are, it doesn’t matter if you are a fan of Panic! at the Disco or My Chemical Romance, and it doesn’t matter what other music genres you like, Captain Cuts checks all of the boxes in The Life of Emo.

Between reviewing music, being a book addict, making art, dancing, and reading and writing poetry, she is kind of a self-declared Renaissance (wo)man.
