THE UNQUENCHABLE THIRST FOR BEAU NERJOOSE: Not Your Average Dick and Balls Musical
If you listen to my podcast, then you will know how much I love taglines. Over the years of reviews, I’ve came across some great ones but none as awesome and literal as the tagline for this movie. The tagline is “Not Your Average Dick and Balls Musical” and it could not be any more apt a description. The Unquenchable Thirst for Beau Nerjoose is a bizarre, low brow musical that may be one of the most offensive movies of all time. The jokes revolve around farts, shit and crude sexuality… but here is the rub… its fantastic! If you don’t think farts or “butthole worms” are funny, then avoid this movie like the plague. If these ideas make you chuckle like a 7th grade monster, then you have found a one-of-a-kind gross out musical made just for you.
Its not going to be easy, but I am going to attempt to give you an idea of what this movie is about. The film follows a loser in his mid thirties named Ron who recently got dumped by his girlfriend. From there we meet the gaggle of weirdos that inhabit his life and learn that his mother has been forced into a mentally reduced state by someone she calls Boner Juice, but learn that it is actually the evil supervillain Beau Nerjoose. From there we are blasted off into a silly world of well crafted songs, titty maggots and a never ending stream of fecal/fart based humor. By the end of the film, Ron has to save the world but not without helping a homeless man butt-chug wine.
I really don’t want to scare anyone off, but this is definitely made for people with certain tastes. If you have rolled your eyes multiple times already during this review, then you will probably turn this off 10 minutes into it. While I understand that these fancy folks exist, Beau Nerjoose was one of my favorite watches of last year. The film is low budget, but uses what it has incredibly well and relies on good writing, rather than pure spectacle. What also helps is how well shot the movie is. During scenes that should be laughably cheap, the film embraces it and continues to frame everything in a highly cinematic way. I know that I didn’t give this film justice, but I urge you all to check out the trailer below. The Unquenchable Thirst for Beau Nerjoose is currently available to purchase on Blu-ray, DVD and VOD.
