SoundBytes: Earthly Frames Tease New Album with “My Worst Self”
Releasing on April 3rd, Earthly Frames are dropping a new full length entitled Taped Over, a mix of straightforward Americana rock, contemplative singer-songwriter vibes, and heady sci-fi inspired lyrics. While the album isn’t out for public consumption just yer, there’s a pre-order over at Bandcamp and a couple of tracks to tease just what’s in store for the listener.
The opening track and lead single, “My Worst Self” has a Neil Young meets The Beatles vibe with a touch of modern sensibility throw in. The brainchild and current musical project of lifelong musician Gabriel Walsh, Earthly Frames is more than just a one man band. On this new album, Walsh features a variety of musicians from all over the world to lend their talents on a variety of instruments ranging from cello to harmonica to uilleann pipes (a variety of bagpipe from Ireland).
While the tracks on the new album range in feel, pace, and inspiration, the overall tone and spirit of what you can expect is captured well by this lead track. Check it out and preorder your copy on Bandcamp today!
