Anthologically Speaking: BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TERRORS is an Action Horror Extravaganza
With the crunch of bone and the clack of an automatic weapon, Blood, Sweat, and Terrors is here to punch your right in the face. Featuring 9 blood-soaked, ass-kicking tales of action and horror, from some of the best in the business, this is a non-stop thrill ride. Curated from Rue Morgue & Unstable Ground’s Little Terrors Short Film festival.
This is a departure for me as I do enjoy horror anthologies but a nine story anthology covering the various tropes of the action film genre some with horror mixed in, some have sci-fi, some have a comedic tone but all nine have very fresh approaches to the genre. The fine folks at Rue Morgue and Unstable Ground picked these nine from many of entries that showed at The Little Terror’s Film Festival.
I also want to point out that none of the shorts are rushed in any way given the total running time divided by the number of shorts (around 10 mins each) and all are filmed in a way to make the most of the low budgets involved in filming because of the talent involved both in front and behind the camera. According to the movie’s web page the stunt people who worked on the films have all done big time Hollywood blockbusters and other films around the world.
So, if you love action films or know someone who does, this is a great film to watch and own because it has repeat viewing written all over it. It’s available now on home video and VOD.
