UPDATE: Due to Justin’s schedule, the new episode AND this contest have been extended. The podcast will drop the week of August 1st (likely on August 2nd, unless circumstances disallow) and the contest deadline has been extended to Sunday, August 7th at 11:59 PM. Come get your free Blu-ray!

With a new episode dropping next week on one of Nic Cage’s worst rated films, it’s important to highlight some of his better work… even if Merder wasn’t a big fan of this gem.

Out now on DVD, Blu-ray, and VOD, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent folds a hyperbolic take on the real life Nic Cage into a Nic Cage action film, filled with meta references, solid jokes, and a fantastic performance from Pedro Pascal.

The studio gave us a pile of Blu-rays to share with the masses, so now’s your chance to get a free copy of the film on Blu, complete with a digital code for those of us that prefer to stream.

Here’s how you enter:

1. First, subscribe and listen to the podcast on your preferred platform by clicking here.

2. Then, follow the podcast on Instagram to join the conversation.

3. Leave a rating and review on Apple Podcasts.

4. And, finally, fill out the form below to alert us that you’ve entered.

FOR A BONUS ENTRY: Post about this contest including the link to the contest at your Twitter or Facebook and include a link in the spot on the form. (You can simply use #CAGEMATCHGIVEAWAY too and we’ll see it that way)

All entries must be submitted by 11:59 EST on July 31st. Drawing will be held on August 1st. Due to shipping costs and Blu-ray region coding, this contest is limited to the US only.

Stay tuned for the next episode next week and get your entries in fast, as the first 10 we receive will be automatic winners and the rest will enter into the drawing.

Contact Justin at with any questions and thanks for entering!

Justin has been running websites since his first Geocities site in 1994, but only did he ever start covering anything of substance years later. After he stopped regularly running local concerts in Northern NJ and the greater Philly area, he knew he needed to step up his writing game if he expected to continue to get free music to listen to. He writes regularly here and at Cinapse, as well as contributing to a few other sites on occasion. He likes music, film, the Philadelphia Eagles, the 76ers, talking about Criminal Justice, reading Intelligence Report, and his family... not in that order. His beautiful wife is far more talented than he is and his kids far more adorable... and crazy.
