Stream or Die Kicks Off Tomorrow! (Official Press Release)

May 13, 2025 – Pottstown, PA and Beyond –

The Farsighted kicks off it’s first Stream or Die Film Festival, an offshoot of our annual Skate or Die Film Festival. While there is a fun live component in conjunction with Ringing Rock Roller Rink (all the details are below), the festival is a hybrid event that’s first-and-foremost a DIY streaming festival, with this year’s films streaming in a supersecret online location that you can only find out about by “purchasing a ticket” here (if Venmo requests the last 4 digitis of the assoicated phone number, use “0087”). Secret screening info will be provided with any donation, but a recommended donation of $5-10 is recommended. Ensure that you include the email address or phone number that you want the secret location and code to be shared to! If you wish to receive a pair of paper 3D glasses for use with the Third Dimension Thursday, please include a note with your address, how many pair you require (1-4) and a minimum donation of $10. Donations will be shared with a charity to be determined by the winner of the festival’s “Stream a Little Stream” award winner – aka the overall Best of the Fest that will be announced on the final day of programming. The donations for tickets and 3D glasses must be made to the Skate or Die Venmo account, which you is located here: venmo.com/u/skateordiefestival.

The streaming festival’s daily content will debut at 6pm EST and will be played n 4 hour blocks, looping again at 10pm, 2am, 6am, and 10am. From 2pm to 6pm daily, the livestream will be in maintenance to prepare for the next day. But this schedule allows 20 hours daily of streaming films, so that festival goers can pop in an out as convenient for them. This block includes some of our faves from the first 3 years of the Skate or Die Film Fest, as well as some great behind the scenes footage from our friends at MAV. You’ll have to tune in to find out what you’re missing. This is a surprise block, but we can assure you that you don’t want to miss it!

Sunday 5/18: Super Schlock Sunday
What Would a Farsighted Fest Be Without a WTF? Block

Helmed by Bone Jawnson’s The Legend of Crickfoot, this block of schlocky, weird, and/or wild films includes Pants Labyrinth, Dollusional, Lupe Q and the Galactic Corn Cake, “The Wonderful World of Wallen”, a second appearance of fan favorite Toy Vlog Hunt, DLG, Game Over, The World of James Gagmy, and a few more surprises!

Monday 5/19: Music Monday
Music Videos, Musical Shorts, and Ed Gein

With long form music project Witches of Everland, DINK: The Musical Podcast, a variety of kickass music videos, the killer soundtrack from internationally acclaimed short film Tremelo, the unique Ed Gein’s Musical Instruments, and a few more musically inclined short films – such as The Last Gunfight… Yet, The Flickering Experiment, My Shadow, and Into the Reds Tale – this one is perfect for the music lover in all of us… even Ed Gein…

Wednesday 5/21: Whiplash Wednesday
Sometimes the Best Theme is No Theme At All

From horror to comedy to drama to the unclassifiable and beyond, this program is about as diverse as you’ll see. The experimental feature Katabasis is joined by short films ranging from a minute to over 30, including Scent of Shoes, White Gaze, Virtual Call, UNLIT, The Easter Sunday Massacre, Pest of the Mind, Zinnia the Devil, Coffee, Invisible, Jane and the Rose, A Second Chance to Die, and more.

Thursday 5/22: Third Dimension Thursday
Because Red and Cyan are Our Favorite Colors

With a SpaceBrains3D Double Feature of the recently released 3D print of Jake Jolley’s fun and over-the-top Clay Zombies 3D and the SpaceBrains3D restoration of the classic Phantom Planet, you’ll get to experience two great features and some fun shorts and unique 3D content the way God intended.

Friday 5/23: Friday Frights
Horrors on the Screen are Better than the Horrors Around Us

The arty black and white anthology feature Emily Kathleen’s Horror in Black and White and Teon Blake-Stewart’s unique and feverish Nightmare in London surround themselves with tonally diverse horror shorts including Dream, A Night In, Firecrow, Abhorrent, Disposable, The Wall of Horror, and The Spirit of Rhybin.

Saturday 5/24: Skate or Die Saturday, Part 2
Filmmaker Spotlight – Chad Repko and Brian Lonano

Two of Skate or Die’s favorites, Chad Repko and Brian Lonano, are the centerpieces of our second day of Skate or Die highlights – with films we’ve played at the fest and a few of their great shorts that haven’t snuck into our previous festivals just yet. In addition to these two genre auteurs, we’ll be highlight a few more fan favorites from our first 3 years of Skate or Die.

Sunday 5/25: Best of the Fest
Awards, Winners, and Replays of the Hits

The best and more buzzworthy films from the entire festival will get their second day to shine, as well as some announcements and special surprises.

The order of the films in each block and related info will be shared to all ticket holders via their noted emails or phone numbers.


Along with our friends at Ringing Rock Roller Rink, The Farsighted presents Wheels and Reels Film Club! The first meeting of the club will be the Stream or Die Kickoff Party on Tomorrow night – Wednesday, May 14th! There will be open skating from 6-7:30 and a program of diverse short films at 8, including The Procedure and Cell Buddies (two kickoff party exclusives that will not be features in the streaming festival), local legend Chad Repko‘s Harvest (in combination with footage from last year’s premiere at Skate or Die), the powerful short film documentary Breasts Not Included, Pennsylvania People‘s unique mockumentary horror Behind the Signal, a film reel of trailers and shorts from Schlock and Awe Films that we’re dubbing “The Wonderful World of Wallen”, and a few surprises!

    I can’t participate in the film festival because I can’t open VENMO account in Japan
    I hope the film festival is a success!
