Pat Covers the Greats: “And I Love Her”

Pat Guadagno is a long time veteran of the music scene, a bit of a legend in the Jersey shore music scene in fact. Known for his great performances and his unique reinterpretations of the greats, Guadagno’s latest album – 1964 – is a 15 track journey through some of his favorites from a musical smorgasbord of some of the best artists of all time. Covering Bob Dylan, The Beach Boys, The Animals, Tom Paxton, Eric Anderson, and more, he puts his spin on a variety of songs ranging from ones that damn near everyone covers (“House of the Rising Sun”) to tracks that very few folks have covered over the years.

For this Fab Four junkie, it’s the cover of The Beatles classic “And I Love Her” that hits most. With a folky, jazzy singer-songwriter vibe, the take on the song is fresh and inviting. But don’t take our word for it:

Justin has been running websites since his first Geocities site in 1994, but only did he ever start covering anything of substance years later. After he stopped regularly running local concerts in Northern NJ and the greater Philly area, he knew he needed to step up his writing game if he expected to continue to get free music to listen to. He writes regularly here and at Cinapse, as well as contributing to a few other sites on occasion. He likes music, film, the Philadelphia Eagles, the 76ers, talking about Criminal Justice, reading Intelligence Report, and his family... not in that order. His beautiful wife is far more talented than he is and his kids far more adorable... and crazy.
