The lead track from LUC’s new EP Glow is a real banger. It’s upbeat, fun, and blends a variety of musical styles and influences. It also shares a name with the EP, a title that seems to truly illuminate the feel for what is going on in the song.
The track (and the EP) blend a throwback alternative rock aesthetic reminiscent of bands like Garbage with modern electro and EDM, as well as a garage rock flair. The result is a sound the band calls “Garage-tronic”. Fans of everything from beautiful female led pop to the harsh electronic sounds of Nine Inch Nails may find LUC a welcome change up to what they’ve been hearing on the radio or seeing on their TVs.
