Sundogs are Here to Enforce THE CODE of Jazz Infused Classic Rock

Welcome to your own personal School of Rock. Here are your professors, Stan Snow and Jed Moffitt, and their incredible cast of guest “lecturers”. Class is now in session.

Fans of jazzy, blues influenced rock and/or roll will find a lot to love here. Whether you’re a fan of Chicago, a Tom Petty aficionado, or think Jim Morrison was a God among mere mortals, Sundogs are rock of the classic variety that folks of all ages can enjoy. While this harder rock fan likes them best at their most aggressive and upbeat, as with the lead track and first single “I Want It Now”, others who enjoy something a bit smoother will find a lot to love here. There’s a distinct Van Morrison vibe at times, a Southern rock influence at others, and even a bit of later era Police in a track or two. While a feel all their own, something about Sundogs feels like a classic rock’s greatest hits compilation.

Other standout tracks include the ZZ Top meets the Eagles groove of “Freedom” and the Beatles Magical Mystery era flavored closer, “Balloon”.

Check out the album for yourself on Spotify, Bandcamp, iTunes, or Amazon now.

Justin has been running websites since his first Geocities site in 1994, but only did he ever start covering anything of substance years later. After he stopped regularly running local concerts in Northern NJ and the greater Philly area, he knew he needed to step up his writing game if he expected to continue to get free music to listen to. He writes regularly here and at Cinapse, as well as contributing to a few other sites on occasion. He likes music, film, the Philadelphia Eagles, the 76ers, talking about Criminal Justice, reading Intelligence Report, and his family... not in that order. His beautiful wife is far more talented than he is and his kids far more adorable... and crazy.
